Poughkeepsie Man Shot In Nightclub Parking Lot While Celebrating Birthday POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- A local man was shot in the leg while celebrating his birthday Sunday at the Club Ciboney, according to the City of Poughkeepsie Police. The 41-year-old victim told police he was standing outside the nightclub at 189 Church St., in a large parking lot around 3:45 a.m., at Cannon and Academy streets when he heard a single gunshot and felt pain in his leg and fell down, said Det. Dump Truck Rollover Ignites Fire In Rhinebeck DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- A dump truck working on a construction site on Wynkoop Lane in Rhinebeck caught fire around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Rhinebeck Fire Department. The driver escaped without injury, but very slippery conditions caused the dump truck to roll over, and then ignited into flames, fire officials said. One firefighter was injured during the incident when he fell on snow covered ice while stretching hoses, fire officials said. This Thursday, the Legislature will hold a special meeting to vote on a new contract that could finally seal the deal.
