A Pennsylvania drug dealer is facing charges after police say he delivered the fentanyl that killed a 32-year-old man.
Rafael Angel Rivera-Ortiz, 40, of South 10th Street in Lebanon, was charged on Friday, June 6, with drug delivery resulting in death, according to the Berks County District Attorney’s Office
On March 29, 2024, officers with the South Heidelberg Police Department responded to a home on West Penn Avenue in Robesonia for a reported death. Inside, they found signs of drug use, including fentanyl and related paraphernalia, authorities said.

A Spring Valley, NY man was arrested in Glen Rock after police found him slumped over in a parked car — with heroin on his lap, authorities said.
Luis R. Cruz Valenzuela, 31, was arrested on Friday, June 6 at 10:48 p.m., after a citizen reported an erratic driver on Lincoln Avenue near Wellesley Road, according to Glen Rock Police Chief Dean Ackermann.
Officer Nick Onove found the vehicle parked on Wellesley Road, and the driver, later identified as Cruz Valenzuela, was slumped forward inside the car and appeared to be asleep, the chief said.

Nissequogue Swimmer, 63, Drowns: Police
A Long Island man died after being pulled from the water in Nissequogue, police said.
Eric Soloff, 63, of Nissequogue, was found unresponsive off Long Beach Road on Sunday, June 8, around 6:41 p.m., according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
Officers from the Fourth Precinct and the Marine Bureau had responded to a 911 call about a swimmer in distress. Soloff was pulled from the water a short time later, police said.
He was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Two juveniles from Pennsylvania were charged and detained after authorities say someone fired an assault rifle in a Warren County, NJ, neighborhood Saturday night, June 7.
The incident happened around 10:45 p.m. on June 7, near Dumont Drive and Hamilton Road in Greenwich Township, after a 911 caller reported hearing gunfire, officials said.
Officers from the Greenwich Township Police Department responded, but "did not find any injured parties or damaged property."
