Bridgeport Driver Charged With Drunken Driving Had PCP, Darien Police Say DARIEN, Conn. -- A Bridgeport man was found with PCP in his car after being arrested on drunken driving charges on I-95 in Darien, according to police. At around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, an officer saw a car driving east on Post Road near the intersection of Old Kings Highway South, and a check of DMV records showed that the car's registration had expired in September of 2015, police said. New Fairfield Rolls Out New Online Permitting Process NEW FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- New Fairfield will be introducing online permitting for all "Building Stand Alone Permits" on July 5. Residents and contractors will be able to apply for permits and receive certificate of approvals from the comfort of their homes or offices, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Brooklyn Man Charged With Assault In Greenwich GREENWICH — A Brooklyn man was charged with pushing another person into a door in Greenwich, according to Greenwich Time. Police told Greenwich Time that 26-year-old Michael Malik was charged with third-degree assault on Sunday afternoon and given a $5,000 bond. Bridgeport Man Charged With 2014 Break-In At Norwalk Bagel Shop NORWALK, Conn. — A Bridgeport man was charged with trying to break into a bagel shop in Norwalk back in 2014 before employees chased him and an accomplice off, according to the Hour. Geraldo Basco, 49, was arrested on a warrant Wednesday and charged with third-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief, sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, the Hour reported.
