Maywood Schools Hold 'Activity Afternoon' MAYWOOD, N.J. -- The Maywood Schools paired with the Maywood Municipal Alliance to sponsor an "activity afternoon" on Tuesday, May 24. "Kids simply enjoyed an afternoon following the school day of relaxation, games and great music," said Michael Jordan, Maywood School District superintendent. Briana Lopez is a sixth-grader at Fort Lee's School No. 3. She was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia -- a type of blood cancer that begins in bone marrow -- in January.
