No Lead Found In Water At Little Ferry Schools LITTLE FERRY, N.J. -- After Newark schools were found to have lead in the drinking water, Memorial and Washington schools were then tested -- and came up negative. Lead was detected in Newark Schools on March 10, and Little Ferry Superintendent Frank Scarafile contacted the Bergen County Department of Health that same day, for assistance in testing the district's water.
