Irmgard M. Ross, 81, Scarsdale Resident
SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- Irmgard M. Ross, of Scarsdale, died on Monday, March 28. She was 81. Born in East Germany, "Irmgard was a loving, caring and devoted mother and grandmother," according to information from the funeral home.
Ross is survived be her children Thomas and his wife Susanna, Peter, Barbara and her husband Joel Landzberg, Mark and his wife Laura and 7 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Henry, and her parents, Alfred and Alfrieda (Pusch) Krause.

Thelma Ehrman, 89, White Plains Resident
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Thelma Ehrman, of White Plains, died on Monday, March 28. She was 89. Ehrman was an elementary school teacher for over 40 years, who inspired and guided many students.
She is survived by her children, Michael and Nancy; granddaughter Elana; sons-in-law Carlo and Mickey; sister Shirley; and nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Ehrman was predeceased by her husband, Elliot, and her parents, Rebecca and Michael Schechtman.

Pine Free Public Library will be hosting author Margie Gelbwasser, now a Fair Lawn resident, on Thursday, March 31.Gelbwasser will discuss her writing, as well as her Russian and Jewish roots. The event is a tie-in with the One Book, One Community program of the Jewish Federation of North Jersey, and its selection, "A Backpack, A Bear and Eight Crates of Vodka."
