Shopping at Five Below Will Benefit Wanaque PTA Until Saturday WANAQUE, N.J. -- Wanaque Elementary School PTA will be holding a fundraiser with Five Below until Saturday, March 26. Ten percent of all sales will be donated back to the the PTA: bring this flyer.  Five Below carries t-shirts, room decor, collectibles, sporting goods, electronic accessories, school supplies, books, bath and body products and more. The store's schtick is that everything in the store is priced at $5 or less. The store is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and is located at 1640 Route 23, in Wayne. The fundraiser began on Saturday, March 19.

Sister Catherine Jerome Farrington, 81, Blauvelt Resident BLAUVELT, N.Y. -- Sister Catherine Jerome Farrington -- formerly Peggy Ann Farrington -- died on Sunday, March 20. She was 81. Farrington had been a member of the Sisters of St. Dominic of Blauvelt for the past 58 years. Sister "C.J." was born in the Bronx. She received a bachelor's in education from Dominican College, in Orangeburg. She devoted 34 years of her ministry to the care and education of the children of St. Dominic's Home in Blauvelt. Upper Saddle River Fire Department Responds To Smell Of Smoke, Home OK'd UPPER SADDLE RIVER, N.J. -- The Upper Saddle River Fire Department was dispatched on Monday morning, March 21, to a home on Sunset Lane. The homeowner made the call, for a smell of smoke in the basement of the Sunset Lane home. Chief Vierheilig, Engine 1231 and Engine 1232 responded. While the crew of 1232 investigated, 1231 stood by at a nearby hydrant. No problem was discovered, when the home was thoroughly checked. Paterson Library Screens 'A Time For Burning' PATERSON, N.M. -- "A Time For Burning" will screen on Tuesday, March 22, at the Paterson Free Public Library. The documentary describes the efforts of Rev. L. William Youngdahl, a white Lutheran pastor in Omaha, Nebraska, to reach out to black Lutherans in the city. He ultimately failed, however, and resigned as minister of his church. The Library of Congress, in 2005, selected the film for preservation, as being "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant." "Greenwich and the state of Connecticut need citizens who are active and informed.
