Peter R. Monteforte, 70, Poughkeepsie Resident
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Peter R. Monteforte, a Poughkeepsie resident, formerly of Pleasant Valley, died Friday, Jan. 22. He was 70.
Born in Mount Vernon, Monteforte was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. For over 15 years, he was a winemaker at distilleries in Marlboro and Amenia.
He is survived by his daughter, Rosanna Monteforte; stepsons John, Joe and Jay Verderber; longtime companion Cornelia Verderber; twin brother, Paul Monteforte; and granddaughter Ayanna Vannoy.
He was predeceased by his parents, George and Mildred Monteforte.

WEST HARRISON, N.Y. -- West Harrison resident Cristina Scuotto Santoli died on Monday, Jan. 25. She was 94.
Born in Italy, Santoli is survived by her children, Antonietta Iannacchino, Domenico Santoli, Agnese Stanziano and Giuseppe Santoli; niece and nephew Agnese Sicuranza and Domenico Scuotto; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Born in Bridgeport, Martinsky was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a heavy equipment operator for the state of Connecticut. He enjoyed fishing and watching Fox News, and he was a Civil War and World War II history enthusiast.

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Lifelong Stamford resident Betty Jean Stewart Martinik died Sunday, Jan. 24. She was 85.
Born in Daytona, Fla., Martinik graduated from Stamford High School and married her high school sweetheart, Robert Martinik Sr.
She worked as an interior designer and then later was manager of PPG Industries in Stamford. She subsequently spent more than 10 years as a real estate agent in the Stamford area.

Long received his bachelor’s in economics, with a minor in East Asian studies, from Bucknell University. After graduation, he taught English in Japan. Long then received an MBA from the University of Connecticut. His career in finance included positions at Kolmar Americas Petrochemicals in Zug, Switzerland, Wexford Capital in Greenwich and Northern Shipping Funds in Stamford.

WESTPORT, Conn. -- Longtime Westport resident Dale Elise Lamberty died Sunday, Jan. 24. She was 69.Born in Long Island, Lamberty graduated from college in New Paltz, N.Y., and later proudly received a nursing degree from St. Vincent's College of Nursing. She had a great talent for baking cakes and was part owner of the original Great Cakes. She was known by many as Cake Lady Dale.
