Anti-Bullying Workshops For Special Needs Children At Tenafly JCC TENAFLY, N.J. -- As seen in the Jewish Link and Jewish Standard, an interactive bullying workshop is being offered for the special needs population Feb. 2 and 9. The sessions will be conducted by a licensed psychotherapist, who will offer concrete skill-building on self advocacy, peer advocacy, rights and roles and how to prevent and address these issues. Christie Kills Legislation To Guarantee $80M For Open Space MAHWAH, N.J. -- New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie vetoed $80 million for open-space and farmland preservation simply through inaction, the NJ Spotlight reported. Christie did not explain why he let this and dozens of other bills die, and Christie spokesman Joelle Farrell didn't offer a specific rationale for the veto either, NJ Spotlight reported.  The Senate had passed the bill unanimously and the Assembly passed it with bipartisan support, NJ Spotlight reported. Prolific Artist Susan 'Biba' Weimer, 93, Bronxville Native BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Susan Joyce Weimer, a New Mexico resident who was born in Bronxville and was raised in Margaretville, died Monday, Jan. 18. She was 93. After graduating high school in Margaretville, where her family has lived for generations, Weimer joined the Navy, serving as a gunnery instructor and a very young platoon leader. Weimer earned many art degrees, and she joined the faculty at Edinboro University in Pennsylvania in 1969. She was a professor of painting, drawing and printmaking until her retirement.
