In this Victorian-themed project, participants will design a canvas jewelry organizer to hang on the wall, using mixed media of paint, collage, stamps and ephemera. Maywood Applicants Sought For $5,000 Scholarships MAYWOOD, N.J. -- The James and Pauline Hackbarth Foundation is offering five $5,000 scholarships to members of the graduating class of 2016. Applications are now available. James Hackbarth lived in Maywood for more than 50 years. A retired builder, he'd built homes in Maywood and the surrounding Bergen County communities, primarily in the 1950s and 1960s. He and his wife, Pauline, enjoyed Maywood's small-town atmosphere and enjoyed participating in its expansion and transition during those years. Kimbrough died Dec. 15, one day before his 50th birthday. He didn't have life insurance and his life partner, Michelle Perez, began a GoFundMe campaign to cover costs. Wanaque Library Promotes Family Togetherness WANAQUE, N.J. -- The Wanaque Public Library will have its "Take Your Child to the Library Day 2016" Saturday, Feb. 6. Families are welcomed to come spend a day at the library with Miss Denise. The event will feature music, treats, crafts and experiments. Also, kids 5 and older can add another feature -- getting their very first card -- if they come with a parent. She was 68.Benjamin was a human resources director for Hudson Valley Tree, a local manufacturer of Christmas trees in the city of Newburgh, for 20 years.
