Schuylkill County Teen Missing, Possibly In Danger, State Police Say (Updated) UPDATE: The subject of this report has been located safely, per state police.  Troopers in Schuylkill County are asking for the public's help to locate a missing teen.  Maryanne Snyder, 17, of Frackville, was last seen around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 22, near South Nice Street, state police said.  She was wearing a black Reebok hoodie and a green dress, troopers said. Anyone with information is asked to call PSP Frackville at 570-874-5300. If spotted, call 911.

Woman Killed, Man Injured In 'Likely Murder-Suicide' Attempt In PA: Police Authorities are investigating a "likely murder-suicide" attempt in Nanticoke on Monday night, Jan. 22, police said in a release.  Officers were called to the 300 block of East Union Street around 8:30 p.m., the department said.  A woman was found dead on the scene and a man was "found alive and transported to a nearby hospital," the release says. His condition was unknown to police as of Tuesday.  Neither person was named in the release.  Police Chief Michael Roke said it was an "isolated incident" and that there is "no danger to the public."

Retired Deputy Philly Fire Commissioner Dies, 74 John J. Devlin, a longtime member and one-time deputy commissioner of the Philadelphia Fire Department, died last Sunday, Jan. 14, his colleagues said. He was 74.  Devlin, of the Fox Chase section of Northeast Philly, served in the department for 40 years before retiring in 2013, according to his obituary.  He also worked as a volunteer at the Fox Chase Cancer Center and the Philadelphia Second Alarmers Association, and served on the board of the PFD foundation, his obit says.
