Clipper System Could Bring Snow To Norwalk Wednesday FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Clouds will continue to increase throughout Fairfield as a clipper system will graze the area and could drop some snow on Wednesday night. The threat of snow will be mainly after 3 p.m. on Wednesday with temperatures right around freezing. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent during the day but increases to 50 percent over night. Snow showers will linger on Thursday morning before 11 a.m. Temperatures are expected to climb into the high 30s despite mostly cloudy skies. Sun returns on Friday with highs in the low-to-mid 30s.

New York Thruway Lane Closures Planned Overnight Thursday For Paint Crews TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- Lane painting will require the closure of three lanes of the southbound Thruway (I-87/I-287) overnight on Thursday, Jan. 22 near exit 9 in Tarrytown. Two lanes will be closed at 8 p.m., followed by a third lane at midnight. One lane will remain open throughout the operation. The three closed lanes will reopen at 5 a.m., Friday, Jan. 23. New Canaan Resident Achieves Dean's List At Lasell College NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Bridget Dougherty of New Canaan has achieved Dean's List for the 2014 fall semester at Lasell College in Newton, Mass. Dougherty, a member of the class of 2018, is majoring in event management and was among 634 students honored in the fall semester. To achieve the Dean's List, each student must be full-time carrying 12 or more graded credits for the semester with a grade point average of 3.5 or above.

Wilton School Board Holding Public Hearing On Budget Thursday WILTON, Conn. -- The Wilton Board of Education will hold a special meeting and public hearing on the superintendent’s recommended budget at Middlebrook School Auditorium on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The board will listen to comments from the public regarding the recommended budget.
