Fair Lawn Knights Of Columbus Golf Tournament Tees Off In June
FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- The Knights of Columbus, St. Ann's Council No. 2853, in Fair Lawn, has set a date for its Annual Golf Tournament and Beefsteak Dinner -- Saturday, June 4.
The full-day event includes a continental breakfast, bus transportation to and from the golf course, the greens fee and cart, lunch at the Turn, prizes, all-you-can-eat beefsteak dinner, and an open bar.

Helen E. Morrow, 90, Lifelong Fairfield Resident
FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Helen E. Morrow, of Fairfield, died on Thursday, March 31. She was 90.
Born in Bridgeport, Morrow was a lifelong Fairfield resident. "Mrs. Morrow was a devout Catholic who loved the Lord," information from the funeral home noted. She enjoyed her social life with her husband and close friends, especially her trips to Acapulco.
She is survived by daughter, Cassandra Morrow of Fairfield; lifelong friend Edie Lucas Szabo of Fairfield; several nieces and nephews; and cherished friends and their children, Michaella and Veronica Mylott.

Ida A. Lownds, 74, Bethel Resident
BETHEL, Conn. -- Ida A. Lownds, of Bethel, died on Friday, April 1. She was 74.
Born in Bridgeport, Lownds attended Danbury Schools and graduated from Danbury High School, where she was cheerleader captain. She worked for many years with her husband at Dave's Cleaners, in Brookfield. She was most recently in sales in the Drapery Department of J.C. Penny in Danbury, retiring in 2007 after over 20 years.
