RIVER EDGE, N.J. -- Shirley Ann (Schwarz) Sanders, of River Edge, died on Sunday, April 3. She was 73. Born in Nyack, New York, Sanders worked in the Radiology Department of Englewood Hospital and Medical Center for 28 years. She was a Disney enthusiast and avid pin collector, and she loved to dance.

Louis Alessi, 87, Longtime Glen Rock Resident
GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- Louis Alessi, a longtime Glen Rock resident, died on Sunday, April 3. He was 87.
Born and raised in the Bronx, Alessi was known for his mechanical building skills, gardening and baking. He also enjoyed photography. Prior to retiring, he was a machinist with Sealed Air Corp., in Fair Lawn, for 30 years.
He is survived by his daughters, Nancy Rotella and her husband Gennaro, and Luanne Szwast and husband Ed; and grandchildren Emily, Christopher and Lauren. He was predeceased by his wife, Anna (Wilde) Alessi.

Bergen County Wildcats Beefsteak Fundraiser Comes Roaring Into Wyckoff
WALDWICK, N.J. -- The Bergen County Wildcats' 20th annual all-you-can-eat beefsteak dinner fundraiser will come to Wyckoff on Saturday, April 9.Vegetarian and chicken-dinner options are also available by advance request.
Tickets are by advance-sale only and are $45, or $25, for children under 13. The dinner will begin at 6 p.m., at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 467 Grandview Ave., in Wyckoff.
