Norwood Students To Star In 'The Sound Of Music' NORWOOD, N.J. -- Norwood Public School's spring musical will be "The Sound of Music," and it will be offered beginning Thursday, March 31. In this performance of the classic musical, the scenery and backdrops are hand-painted by students, the costumes are hand-tailored, and students from the school will also be performing in the live orchestra. Tickets are available in advance through students, using this form; from the school office directly; or at the door, beginning 30 minutes before each show. Tickets are $10 each. Motivational Speaker Visits Norwood Students NORWOOD, N.J. -- The Norwood PTO brought motivational speaker Michael Fowlin and his one-man presentation "You Don't Know Me Until You Know Me" to Norwood Public School on Tuesday, March 22. He met with third- and fourth-graders, after having met with the upper grades back in December. It was a 75-minute presentation, which he also gave his presentation that evening, for parents of all grade levels as well as staff. After graduating from high school, MacFadden served his country for over 65 years. He joined the United States National Guard and enlisted in the United States Army in 1953. He retired as a full colonel from the United States Army Reserves in 1983, but was an admissions liaison officer to Congressman Ben Gilman and Elliot Engel for West Point until 2014.
