Holocaust Survivor Presents Lecture Series At Congregation B'nai Yisrael
ARMONK, N.Y. -- Holocaust survivor Albert Linder will teach a four-part lecture series at Congregation B’nai Yisrael of Armonk, starting on Tuesday, March 8, titled "What is Judaism and What Does it Mean to be a Jew in the 21st Century?"Linder was born in Chernowitz, Romania, in 1936. In 1941, he and his family were deported to a concentration camp in the Ukraine, where they spent three years. In 1945 they made their way to Italy with help from the Jewish Underground, aiming to go to Palestine.

Bronxville's Sarah Lawrence Will Give Out 'Sarah Awards' For Audio Fiction
BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Entries for the first-annual "Sarah Awards" -- the Sarah Lawrence International Audio Fiction Awards -- are in, with nearly 200 entries from writers, producers, sound artists, musicians and other entrants. An awards ceremony will be held Friday, April 1, at WNYC New York Public Radio's Greene Space, in Manhattan.
