Meet The Animals At Closter Nature Center On Feb. 28 CLOSTER, N.J. -- Come visit the cabin by the pond and meet the animals at the Closter Nature Center on Sunday, Feb. 28."Our collection of education animals delights the children that come for the afterschool program and summer camp, and now it's time for everyone to get to meet them," a news release notes. The program, from 2-3:30 p.m., is free -- but donations will gladly be accepted. The Closter Nature Center is located at 154 Ruckman Rd. Dog Reading Session Returns To Bloomingdale Library BLOOMINGDALE, N.J. -- Paws to Read returns to the Bloomingdale Public Library on Saturday, March 5. Patrons of all ages are welcome to read a story to Thatcher the Golden Retriever, who is a certified therapy dog, or just spend some quality time with him. Shelton Woman Appointed To Post With Norwalk's Substance Abuse Coalition NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk's Human Services Council has appointed Giovanna Pisani as the director of the Mid-Fairfield Substance Abuse Coalition, effective Feb. 1. Pisani will be the Regional Action Council leader representing the four towns of Norwalk, Westport, Weston and Wilton, and will focus on prevention education and wellness for youth.
