BEDFORD CORNERS, N.Y. -- On Sunday, March 13, Temple Shaaray Tefila, in Bedford Corners, will once again open its doors to the community for its annual Purim Celebration.
Purim, a celebration of Jewish deliverance, is traditionally observed by listening to the retelling of the story, sending food gifts to friends, giving charity to those less fortunate and eating a festive meal. JEFFERSON VALLEY, N.Y. -- Support Connection, in Yorktown Heights, has announced a free weekly program, "Yoga: A Path Toward Wellness," for people living with breast, ovarian and gynecological cancers.The sessions will be on Saturdays from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Club Fit, in Jefferson Valley.
