Robert A. Dyer, 94, Longtime Fishkill Resident
FISHKILL, N.Y. -- Robert A. Dyer -- a resident of Fishkill since 1962, formerly of California, West Point, New Jersey and Staten Island -- died on Monday, Feb. 29. He was 94.Dyer dedicated his career to the United States military, serving in both the Navy and Army. A Veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict, he enlisted in 1942 and was in the service until 1962, when he was honorably discharged as sergeant first class after more than 20 years of service. Dyer specialized as a clinical and medical laboratory technician.

Monks Return To New Canaan's Silver Hill Hospital, Will Build Sand Mandala
NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- The Tashi Kyil Monks will be making a stop in New Canaan on their 2016 U.S. tour. Silver Hill Hospital will host the monks for several days and also welcomes the public to a community session on Sunday, March 13.
The monks will stay from Friday, March 11, until Wednesday, March 16. During their stay, they will build a sand mandala and lead sessions for patients and the public.
