Howard Levine, 57, Oakland Resident
OAKLAND, N.J. -- Howard C. Levine, of Oakland, died on Sunday, Feb. 21. He was 57.
Levine was a waiter at the River Palm, in Edgewater and Mahwah. He also was an attorney for the U.S. Treasury.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Gaus) Levine; daughters Morgan and Madison, and step-son Joshua and his wife Megan; and grandchildren Joshua Jr. and Liam.

RINGWOOD, N.J. -- The Ringwood Ambulance Corps is announcing a new Cadet Corps, for Ringwood youth between 14-17, and it will host an informational open house on Monday, Feb. 29.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Paulette M. Hoffman, of Poughkeepsie, died on Monday, Feb. 22. She was 67.
Hoffman worked at the Community Nursery School of Poughkeepsie United Methodist Church for 15 years. She loved taking care of children, her home and her husband.
