Stamford's Ferguson Library Fundraiser Honors Abate STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Ferguson Library’s major fundraiser, "A Novel Affair" will honor Ernest Abate Thursday, April 14.  Abate is a community leader, partner at Abate & Abate and former speaker of the Connecticut House of Representatives. This is the sixth year for "A Novel Affair." Last year’s event drew 320 guests and raised about $160,000 for the library.
