Lena Miozzi, 91, Lifelong Peekskill Resident
PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Lifelong Peekskill resident Lena Miozzi died Tuesday, Feb. 2. She was 91.
Born in Peekskill, Miozzi was a homemaker. She was a parishioner of Assumption Church and a member of the Peekskill Seniors. She also enjoyed cooking, crocheting and sewing.
Miozzi is survived by her sons, Ralph John Miozzi of Melbourne Beach, Fla., and Francis Miozzi of Cortlandt Manor; grandchildren Sarah Christine Campbell and John Francis Miozzi; great-grandson Kellan Campbell; brother Henry Renzi of New Rochelle; and sister Nancy Capicotti of Viera, Fla.

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield resident Craig S. Vida died Friday, Feb. 5. He was 55.
Vida was born in Bridgeport and was a lifelong area resident.
He is survived by his father, Rudolph Vida; brothers Anthony Vida Sr. and Mark Vida; sister Karen Vida; nephews Anthony Vida Jr. and Jonathan Vida; niece Kaileigh Ravis; several cousins; and many friends.
Vida was predeceased by his mother, Patricia DeMino Vida.

Julius Kucsma, 90, Longtime Norwalk Resident
NORWALK, Conn. -- Julius Kucsma, a longtime resident of Norwalk, died Sunday, Feb. 7. He was 90.
Born in Szegilong, Hungary, Kucsma was a set-up mechanic for Beiersdorf Inc. for many years and previously worked for Glenbrook Labs. He and his wife were longtime members of St. Ladislaus Church, where he was a reader for the Hungarian Mass.
Kucsma was very proud of his Hungarian heritage, enjoyed wine making and gardening and was very handy and creative.

Born in Mount Vernon, N.Y., Christie graduated from Yale University. He served as a U.S. Naval officer and aviator for five years before starting a long career as a banker.

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford resident James Paul Sheehan died Sunday, Feb. 7. He was 82.
Born in Ireland, Sheehan immigrated to the United States in 1958. He joined the U.S. Air Force and served as a radar technician. He became an electrician and was self-employed for WADE Electric Co. for 30 years. During his career, Sheehan was proud to work on the Statue of Liberty and Shea Stadium.

Mary J. Murphy, 81, Former Ossining Resident
OSSINING, N.Y. -- Mary J. Murphy, a recent resident of Bethel Springvale Inn and former resident of Ossining, died Sunday, Feb. 7. She was 81.
Born in Troy, Murphy was a retired Spanish teacher at Hendrick Hudson High school. She also taught at Mary Rogers College. In 1992, she was one of the founders of the Maryknoll Affiliates. With the Rev. John Hudert, she co-founded the Pachamma Farm at Maryknoll.
