William E. King, 86, Valley Cottage Resident
VALLEY COTTAGE, N.Y. -- Valley Cottage resident William E. King died on Friday, Feb. 5. He was 86.
He was born in Herkimer, N.Y. on March, 1929, to William T. and Evelyn Davis King.
King was active in the New York National Guard, both as a "weekend warrior" and a full-time mechanic before he started college. He taught industrial arts and technical drawing in the Tarrytown school system for 30 years. King was also a Fulbright Exchange teacher in 1969-70, and he and his family spent the year in Bolton, England.

OSSINING, N.Y. -- Ossining resident Marie Zakreski died on Saturday, Feb. 6. She was 86.
She was born in Ossining on Sept. 12, 1929, in Ossining to Robert and Minnie (DiPillo) DeCuircio.
Zakreski worked for Cambridge Instruments as a medical instrument technician.
She is survived by her children, Roberta Zakreski of Croton-On-Hudson, Barbara Jones of Montgomery and William Zakreski of Mohegan Lake; grandchildren Michael Heffernan, Elizabeth Cottrill, Rebecca Meyer and Rachel Jones; and great-granddaughter Charlotte Meyer.

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Rose "Babe" Zotto, a lifetime Peekskill resident, died on Saturday, Feb. 6. She was 89.
She was born in Peekskill on Feb. 14, 1926, to Frederico and May Annacone Mirra.
Zotto married Samuel Zotto Sr. at the Assumption Church, in 1947. She worked in the infirmary of St. Joseph's Home, in Peekskill.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Bridgeport resident Daniel R. Bucci died on Friday, Feb. 5. He was 62.
He was born in Bridgeport on Sept. 3, 1953, to Angelo and Evelyn Pastor Bucci.
Bucci worked at UPS for more than 30 years, retiring as a supervisor in 2011. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed organizing the Port 5 Naval Veterans golf tournaments. He enjoyed cooking, loved to help others and was looking forward to his new granddaughter, Gianna Robin.

LYNDHURST, N.J. -- Clarie "Pat" Stiehler -- of Waretown, formerly of Lyndhurst -- died on Saturday, Feb. 6. She was 82.
Stiehler worked for Penick Corporation for 20 years, before retiring. She coached Lyndhurst girls softball, was one of the original adult women volleyball players in the Lyndhurst League and was an avid bowler.
She was the wife of Theodore Stiehler, Sr.; mother of Theodore, Jr. and his wife, Nancy Stiehler and Keith; sister of Jean Lorentz and grandmother of two and great-grandmother of three.

Santoro joined the U.S. Navy after high school. He served aboard the USS Hector during the Korean War. After the war, he went to work as a plumber. He worked for Local 21 for many years.

LYNDHURST, N.J. -- Lifelong Lyndhurst resident Veronica (Munczinski) Rockwell died on Saturday, Feb. 6. She was 88.
Rockwell was a typist for AR Purdy before retiring. She was a member of the Polish American Citizen club.
