Edward F. De Chent, 75, Of Fishkill
FISHKILL, N.Y. -- Fishkill resident Edward F. De Chent, who had been a longtime Yonkers resident, died Saturday, Jan. 9. He was 75.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, De Chent worked for Asplundh Tree Expert Co. for 44 years. He retired as a foreman in 2010.

Lucille Scheri Smith, 95, Former Saddle Brook Resident
SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- Lucille Scheri (Ritzer) Smith, a Boonton resident and formerly of Jersey City and Saddle Brook, died Monday, Jan. 11. She was 95.
Smith was a founding member of the Saddle Brook Senior Citizens group, a former member of the Republican Club of Saddle Brook and a member of the First Reformed Church of Saddle Brook.
She is survived by son John Scheri of Oak Ridge; grandchildren John Scheri, Colleen Faller, Dr. Randall Scheri, Kathleen Murcer and Dr. Tad Scheri; and great-grandchildren Nicole, Thomas, Christopher, Ryan, Jessica, Walter, Erin, Elliott and Laura.

Peter Taylor, 87, Stamford Resident
STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford resident Peter N. Taylor died Thursday, Jan. 7. He was 87.
Born in Henderson, N.C., Taylor lived in Stamford for many years. He was a single father who raised three children.
He worked at Freccia Auto Body for more than 40 years and Angelo's Auto Body, and was an excellent body and fender man.
Taylor is survived by his children, Rita Pulliam, Diane Tipton and Nathaniel Taylor; grandchildren Sushun Pulliam, Saeedah Reed, Alton Leon Pulliam and Gregory Taylor; brother Maurice; seven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
