Dr. Allan S. Markowitz, 66, Yorktown Resident YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Yorktown Heights resident Dr. Allan S. Markowitz died Sunday, Jan. 10. He was 66. Markowitz practiced ophthalmology for 30 years in Jefferson Valley after graduating from Rutgers University and Albert Einstein Medical College. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; a son Lee; and stepsons Michael and Peter Simon. There are no services currently scheduled. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Yorktown Police Department, Fire Department and Ambulance Corps, which had taken care of the family. Raymond DeLuca, 91, Longtime Irvington Resident IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- Raymond DeLuca, a longtime Irvington resident, born and raised in the Bronx, died Monday, Jan. 11. He was 91.  A Navy veteran of World War II, DeLuca and his wife settled in Irvington. He worked in the garment district of New York City for Revillon Furs until retirement.  DeLuca was an active coach and mentor, as well as an avid golfer well into his retirement.
