Wappinger Man Threatens Victim With Hammer In Dispute, Police Say WAPPINGER, N.Y. -- State Police charged a man with multiple counts after he allegedly attacked his victim with a hammer during a domestic dispute on Saturday, according to officials.  John Casino, 45, allegedly attempted to attack the victim with the hammer at approximately 6:51 p.m. The victim allegedly tried to escape and contact authorities, but Casino slammed the door on the victim's hand causing injury, police said.  Casino was charged with second-degree assault, second-degree menacing and first-degree harassment. He is scheduled to re-appear in the Town of Wappinger Court on Feb. …
