New Canaan Police Use DNA Off Shoe To Nab Suspect In Car Break-In NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- New Canaan Police were able to track down a Bridgeport man suspected of robbery by using DNA found on a pair of shoes he left at the scene of the crime, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.  Alvin Polchies, 38, broke into a car and stole a pair of shoes and left his old ones behind, the Advertiser said. New Canaan authorities used the DNA from the shoes to track down Polchies and arrested him in Norwalk court on Jan. 13 while he was answering to unrelated charges, the New Canaan Advertiser said.  Click here to read the full article.
