Yonkers Breaks Ground On New Hotel On Tuckahoe Road YONKERS, N.Y. -- Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano was on hand for a ceremonial groundbreaking for the new Hampton Inn and Suites that will be built at 555 Tuckahoe Road, according to News 12 Westchester.  The Hampton Inn is just one of several national hotel chains building in Yonkers recently. Unattended Backpack Causes Scare At Westchester Courthouse WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- An unattended backpack triggered a partial evacuation at the Westchester County Courthouse on Tuesday, according to News 12 Westchester. The bag was found near an elevator on the ninth floor. Dover Man Charged With Violating Order Of Protection DOVER, N.Y. -- State Police charged a Dover man with violating an order of protection on Monday, according to officials.  Thomas C. Brown, Jr., 30, was allegedly trespassing on the victim's property on Dec. 29. He was charged with first-degree criminal contempt after it was learned he had been convicted once before in 2014, police said.  Brown was remanded to Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $15,000 bond, police said.
