Henry Ernest Bodeker, 66, Lifelong Hawthorne Resident
HAWTHORNE, N.Y. -- Henry Ernest Bodeker, a lifelong resident of Hawthorne, died on Wednesday, Feb.17. He was 66.
Born in White Plains, Bodeker was an Army veteran. He worked for White Plains Hospital Center for 43 years as a technician and recently retired. He was also a proud life member of the Hawthorne Fire Department and a member of various fire department marching bands.

Ramon Cespedes, 54, Hackensack Resident
HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Ramon A. Cespedes died on Sunday, Feb. 14. He was 54.
Cespedes graduated from Bergen Community College and worked at IDT Corporation.
He is survived by his wife Luchy; daughters Meylin and Dicairy; mother Rosa; and many brothers and sisters.
Visiting hours were on Wednesday, Feb. 17, and interment was Thursday morning, Feb. 18, at Maple Grove Park Cemetery, in Hackensack. G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Service, in Hackensack, assisted with arrangements.
Gertrude Antonia Carroll, 97, Poughkeepsie Resident
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Poughkeepsie resident Gertrude Antonia Carroll died on Tuesday, Feb. 16. She was 97.
Carroll was the great-granddaughter of William Belton, who was an early settler of Poughkeepsie. She graduated from State University of New York at New Paltz with a teaching degree. She attended her 60th college reunion at SUNY New Paltz. She taught in the Poughkeepsie schools.
Following her teaching career, Carroll worked as a secretary at IBM, in Poughkeepsie. She was an avid reader who also enjoyed gardening, needlework, interior decorating, antiques and tutoring. She was active wi…
