Helene O'Hara, 80, Lifelong Fairfield Resident
FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Lifelong Fairfield resident Helene C. O'Hara died Monday, Feb. 1. She was 80.
Born in Bridgeport, O'Hara graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School. She was an administrative assistant for several local businesses, including Gilroy & Gilhuly. She also worked for Jacques Cousteau for a number of years.
O'Hara was a member of the Gaelic American Club and loved to socialize with friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Maureen O'Hara, and her companion, Joe McCormack of Milford.

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield resident Leonard Novia died Saturday, Jan. 30. He was 85.
A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, Novia was a painter by trade.

Angela Lyons, 80, Of New Canaan
NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Angela Vigilante Lyons, a New Canaan resident and a former longtime Norwalk resident, died on Thursday, Jan. 28. She was 80.
Born in Norwalk, Lyons lived in Norwalk for most of her life, later moving to New Canaan. She attended St. Joseph School and was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy.
Lyons was a retired bookkeeper for various local companies and a justice of the peace. She was involved in many organizations and was a member of the Norwalk Evening Women's Club, the Young Republicans and the Sons of Italy.

ORADELL, N.J. -- Longtime Oradell resident Fred Galea died Saturday, Jan. 30. He was 89.
A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Galea retired from the Ford Motor Company after 37 years as an accounting supervisor.
He was an avid parishioner of St Joseph’s Church in Oradell and a past grand knight of St. Joseph’s Council No. 3814 Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed golf, food, a good joke and his New York sports teams.

Joan D. Lynch, 79, Former Saddle Brook Resident
SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- Joan D. (Burke) Lynch, a Bayville resident and formerly of Saddle Brook and the Bronx, died Monday, Feb. 1. She was 79.
Lynch was a parishioner of St. Barnabas Church in Bayville and was a member of the seniors exercise group. She also was a member of the Guys and Dolls Bowling League of Bayville. She was an expert card player, who won often, and she also enjoyed mahjong.
Prior to retiring in 1999, Lynch was an accounts payable/receivable clerk with Sun Chemical in Fort Lee for 10 years.

ROCKLEIGH, N.J.-- Rockleigh resident Helen (Hatziorfanos) Galitis died Sunday, Jan. 31. She was 82.
Born in Greece, Galitis worked as a mail clerk at Prentice Hall in Englewood Cliffs before she retired.
