Josephine Cali, 87, Longtime Pearl River Resident
PEARL RIVER, N.Y. -- Josephine Cali, a Pearl River resident for 45 years, died Tuesday, Jan. 5. She was 87.
Born in Brooklyn, she is survived by her children Robert, Steven, Ken and daughter-in-law Dominica, and her grandson Steven Jr.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ludwig "Mickey" Cali, and her brother, Joe Canderozzi.

King worked as an administrative assistant for various insurance companies.

Maryann Murphy, 84, Stamford Resident
STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford resident Maryann Murphy died on Sunday, Jan. 3. She was 84.
Murphy volunteered at The Arc, was a print model and worked at the Ferguson Library. She also worked at Murphy's Townhouse as one of its original waitresses.
She is survived by her brother, Frederick Bonhage and his wife Peggy; children Maureen Murphy-Kenefick and her husband Dr. Timothy Kenefick, Dawn Deehan and her husband George, Terry Murphy and his wife Julia, and Jennifer Murphy Wikman and her husband Todd; and her grandchildren, great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.

PALISADES PARK, N.J. -- Longtime Palisades Park resident Elizabeth T. (Ross) Schmitt died Wednesday, Jan. 6. She was 92.
Schmitt had been a parishioner of St. Michael Church in Palisades Park.
She is survived by daughter Rita Maikis and husband Anton, and grandson Joshua Maikis.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Schmitt.

Irene Dixon, 89, Former North Arlington Resident
NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. -- Irene Dixon (Fernandes), a Nutley resident and formerly of North Arlington and Kearny, died Wednesday, Jan. 6. She was 89.
Dixon is survived by her children Irene Dixon and Roy Dixon and his wife Marie; brother Manny Fernandes; and nieces and nephews Jeannie Samano, Theresa Samano, Joseph Fernandes, Darlene McElwee and Frank Fernandes Jr.
She was predeceased by her husband, Willis L. Dixon.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Parow Funeral Home 185 Ridge Road, North Arlington. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, in North Arlington.
Sheldon D. Ezor, 91, Lifelong Paterson Resident
PATERSON, N.J. -- Lifelong Paterson resident Sheldon D. Ezor died on Wednesday, Dec. 30. He was 91.
Ezor was a World War II Marine Corps veteran, and he later served as commander of Jewish Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was a vice president of Grolier and chairman of the board for Educational Reading Aids.
