He was a  U.S. Army veteran and retired from Chrysler Motors Corporation after 34 years. He owned and operated Tri-State Inventory Service until his death. A 50-year life member of the West Paterson Fire Department and Rifle Camp Fire Company No. 3, he served as president, captain and treasurer.
