Zoltan Kovacs, 94, Formerly Of Bridgeport STRATFORD, Conn. -- Zoltan J. Kovacs, a resident of Stratford but formerly a longtime resident of the Black Rock Section of Bridgeport, died Sunday, Dec. 27. He was 94. A World War II veteran, Kovacs became a toolmaker for the Bullard Company. He was a bowler at Nutmeg Bowling Alley for more than 50 years, up to as recently as a few weeks ago, and was a president of his bowling league. He also loved to swim at the Eisenhower Senior Center. Lemm, a West Harrison resident, who was killed Dec. 21 in Afghanistan while serving with the Air National Guard. He was 45. Lemm was one of six U.S. troops killed in a suicide bombing, which targeted their American-Afghan joint patrol near Bagram Air Base. His friends and colleagues nicknamed him "Superman."
