Angelina Scala, 80, Of Yonkers YONKERS, N.Y. -- Longtime Yonkers resident Angelina Scala died Wednesday, Dec. 16. She was 80.A native of Italy, Scala brought her cooking to New York in 1956. She lived in Yonkers from 1969 onward. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Vittorio; her children, Michael Scala, John Scala, Victor Scala, Ann Marie Cavanaugh and Christine Gallucci; 10 grandchildren; siblings Frank and Anthony Attardi, Michelina DeMonte and Rosa Merz; many nieces and nephews; and "four furry grandchildren." Pellegrino Soriano, 91, North Arlington Resident NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. -- Former longtime North Arlington resident Pellegrino Soriano died Monday, Dec. 14. He was 91. Soriano was born in Jersey City and lived in North Arlington for the past 45 years.  He was a Navy veteran. Soriano was a mechanical designer for the Philips Magnavox in Mahwah for 15 years, before retiring in 1993.
