Verna Frances Jarkiewicz, 93, Suffern Resident
SUFFERN, N.Y. -- Verna Frances Jarkiewicz, of Suffern, died on Sunday, Feb. 14. She was 93.
Born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, Jarkiewicz was an active member of Sacred Heart Church in Suffern, where she served as a Eucharistic minister.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann Wielkoszewski and her husband Arthur, Diane Jarkiewicz-Thompson and her husband Curt, and Susan Jarkiewicz; grandchildren Anna and her husband Antonio, Caitlin, and Joseph; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marie Connizzo, 90, Former Dumont Resident
DUMONT, N.J. -- Marie Connizzo -- an Ortley Beach resident, formerly of Dumont -- died on Tuesday, Feb. 16. She was 90.
Visiting hours will be from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18, at the A.K. Macagna Funeral Home, 495 Anderson Ave., in Cliffside Park. The funeral is from the funeral home on Friday, Feb. 19. Everyone will meet from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery, in the Bronx.

Sally Ann DeMattio, 62, Lifelong Westport Resident
WESTPORT, Conn. -- Sally Ann DeMattio, a lifelong Westport resident, died on Saturday, Feb. 13. She was 62.
DeMattio worked for the post office for over 22 years. "(She) always said she genuinely enjoyed getting to know her customers on a personal level," according to information provided by the Harding Funeral Home.
"She was a beautiful soul who shined her light through her beautiful smile. She truly enjoyed her home, her gardens, and her little dogs, Daisy and Rascal."
DeMattio is survived by her mother, Dolores, and siblings Kathy, Ralph, Joey and Mike.

Warren J. Snapp, 74, Former Colonia Resident
COLONIA, N.J. -- Warren J. Snapp -- resident of Milton, Delaware, formerly of Colonia -- died on Sunday, Feb. 14. He was 74.
Born in New York City, Snapp grew up in Maspeth, Queens. He worked as a computer programer at Bell Labs, Xybion, Plessey and Grumman. He and his family owned two laundromats in Morris Plains and Parsippany.
Snapp had coached little league baseball in Denville and was an avid lifelong Mets fan. He was a third-degree Knights of Columbus member. In Milton, he also was a committee board member.
