Here are some of the Foundation's recent grants: Super Science Saturday -- The Foundation supported this event, now in its 28th year, with a grant of $3,400. Robert Ruffino, 82, New Milford Resident NEW MILFORD, N.J. -- New Milford resident Robert Ruffino died on Monday, Feb. 15. He was 82. Born in the Bronx, Ruffino was employed as a clerk at Eckert Pharmacy, in Bergenfield. He is survived by his nephews, Lawrence and Joseph Lunau. He was predeceased by his parents, Julia (Minkowsky) and Rosario Ruffino. Services will be private. The Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, in Dumont, is assisting with arrangements.

Before retiring, Martelli was a cafeteria worker for Paterson Public School No. 15. She was a member of Lodi Senior Citizens. She is survived by her husband, Dino A. "Our students enjoyed Valentine lessons, created adorable crafts and played fun games that were all about the heart," according to a Facebook post by the school. The students also enjoyed some sweet treats and exchanged Valentines. Grace Nursery School is located at 555 Russell Ave., in Wyckoff, and is affiliated with the Grace United Methodist Church.

Lodi Girls Basketball Team Preps For County Finals LODI, N.J. -- The Lodi Immaculate Conception varsity girls basketball team will play in the Bergen County Tournament finals on Sunday, Feb. 21 against Saddle River Day.  Immaculate advanced to the finals by defeating Teaneck in the semifinals, 39-36. Lodi Immaculate played as the No. 1 seed in the tournament. The Lodi squad has a 15-5 record on the season. The game will be held at 2 p.m. at Ramapo College.
