Bridgeport Grocery Store Owner Pleads Guilty To Food Stamp Fraud BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A Fairfield woman who owns a delicatessen in Bridgeport pleaded guilty to food stamp fraud on Thursday, according to U.S. Attorney for Connecticut Deirdre M. Daly.  Jamila Aboutayeb, 54, and her brother Khalid Aboutayeb owned and operated the M&J Deli Market at 988 State St. in Bridgeport. Edgemont Restaurant Closes After Fire EDGEMONT, N.Y. -- The D & A Smokehouse Restaurant in Edgemont will be closed indefinitely after a kitchen fire on Thursday afternoon, according to News 12 Westchester.  Responders came from White Plains, Scarsdale, Hartsdale, Fairview and Greenville to battle the fire. Fairfield Man Charged With DWI In Upstate New York FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- A Fairfield man is facing DWI charges after being pulled over in upstate New York, according to state police.  Todd L. McGarvey, 48, was pulled over on Route 20 on Jan. 4 on suspicion of speeding when troopers believed he was intoxicated, police said.  McGarvey provided a breathalyzer sample that yielded a blood alcohol content of .11 percent. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and is scheduled to appear in New Lebanon Court on Jan. 15, police said.
